Bimeda and Barrow Vale veterinary centre hosted a sheep flock health information meeting at Barrow Vale’s state of the art handling facilities in Bagenalstown Co Carlow last week. Over 40 sheep farmers listened and indeed helped out with the very practical talk and display. Padraig Hyland, Bimeda’s Technical Veterinary Manager, advised on ectoparasite control and demonstrated how best to apply sheep ectoparasite products in order to get the maximal benefits for the farmer and for the welfare of the sheep. Bimeda Ireland’s Sales Manager, Andrew Glynn, was pleased to attend the launch event for this year’s Connacht Spring Show. The show, which is to be held on Sunday 18th May, is now entering its 5th year, which is testament to the success and popularity of previous shows.
