The Bimeda Ireland team were thrilled to attend the 2015 Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska. Bimeda Sponsor Sheep Show

Bimeda were pleased to sponsor the sheep show at the 2015 Bonniconlon Show. Andrew Glynn, Sales Manager for Bimeda Ireland commented, 'the event was fantastic and it was great to get to talk to so many sheep farmers, about animal health issues, ranging from nutrition to parasite control. I was pleased to talk to a number of farmers who had enjoyed great results with our Ectofly and Ectoflits products, as well as a number of farmers who had seen the health and fertility of their animals improve through using our Coseicure trace element boluses'.
Bimeda returned to this year’s Connacht Spring Show, where they were pleased to sponsor the sheep shearing event. Bimeda Ireland Sales Manager commented, ‘as in previous years, this was a fantastic and well attended event. The Bimeda sales team were on hand at the event and were pleased to talk to sheep farmers about best practices for disease control in sheep. There was a great deal of interest in Bimeda’s sheep parasite control products, including Ectofly, Cyperguard, Ectoflits and Endospec. There was also interest in our nutritional bolus range’.

Bimeda were pleased to sponsor an xL Vets farmer training event, which took place on 14th May at Ashdown Park in Wexford. Vet Padraig Hyland of Bimeda and Vet Tommy Heffernan were the key speakers. The talks covered the topics of ecto-parasite control and trace element nutrition, with Bimeda’s Ectofly and Cosecure boluses enjoying great interest. Approximately 40 farmers were in attendance and the event was very well received.

Two important sheep health topics, sheep external parasites and trace element nutrition, are being discussed at a presentation sponsored by Bimeda Animal health in Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co Wexford at Thursday 14th May 2015 7:30pm. The event will be chaired by Shane McGuckin MVB, Animal Hospital, Gorey; the first speaker will be Tommy Heffernan MVB, Avondale Veterinary Clinic, Arklow, Co Wicklow. Bimeda Ireland were delighted to organise and facilitate a sheep flock health meeting on the farm of Tony O'Connor, from Moyne Hill, Headford, Co. Galway. Tony has an excellent commercial and breeding flock of welsh mule sheep and had excellent facilities for hosting this well organised event which had 60 progressive sheep farmers present from all parts of Galway and Mayo. Bimeda are pleased to launch two new videos, which explain how to correctly administer our soluble glass boluses for sheep and cattle. Padraig Hyland, Technical Vet for Bimeda, features in the video, commented, ‘when it comes to bolusing, correct application is the key to success. That’s why we have launched these two videos which show the correct method to administer our sheep and cattle boluses (Zincosel, Cosecure and Coseicure). Bimeda Vet Padraig Hyland was recently invited onto West Limerick 102fm’s farming show, to talk about the steps that can be taken to prevent calf disease, which is a particular concern for Irish farmers during calving season. Paudie details the importance of high quality colostrum and recommends the usage of anti-bacterial powder, Stalosan F, which is effective against the micro-organisms responsible for key calf diseases, such as scour and pneumonia.
