Bimeda Cup 2016

The Annual Bimeda Cup Golf event was held this year in Portumna GC Co. Galway on Friday 17th June 2016. Hosted by the Veterinary Golf Society of Ireland, the winner was Richard Healy of Westside Veterinary Cork. Pictured are Veterinary Golf Society Captain Tom Maher from Tuam, Co. Galway along with Dennis Carney from Bimeda and Bimeda Cup winner Richard Healy, Cork. There were excellent playing conditions on a dry day and a good attendance.

Bimeda was delighted to welcome delegates to the 2016 IPVS Congress (Irish Pig Veterinary Society) to Dublin this week, with a networking champagne reception which was hosted at the Herbert Park Hotel in Ballsbridge. Bimeda Ireland Attends 2016 IPHS Congress

Bimeda Ireland were pleased to attend the 2016 IPHS (Irish Pig Health Society) Congress on 12th April 2016. The Bimeda team were pleased to showcase the Bimeda Ireland product range, and there was particular interest in Stalosan F. Stalosan F is a long-term, broad-spectrum antibacterial powder creates optimum sanitary conditions in animal housing, and is effective against numerous bacteria, viruses, funghi and parasites, responsible for conditions such as lameness, mastitis, scour and pneumonia. Bimeda Ireland were pleased to recently host some talks on the topics of nutrition and mastitis control, in association with Ashwood Veterinary Practice in Mohill. The talks took place in the Teagasc Centre in Mohill and Nutritionist Peter Bone was the key speaker. Peter spoke on the topic of trace element nutrition in ruminants, and spoke about common trace element toxicities and deficiencies in ruminants in Ireland. On 6th November 2015, Bimeda were pleased to continue their support for the xL Vets Skillsnet programme, by sponsoring a farmer event on the topic ruminant nutrition. The event is part of a series of talks sponsored by Bimeda and was attended by 40 farmers. The event was conducted with All Creatures Vet Clinic in Roscommon and was a great success.
