The 10ml applicator is suitable for use with Dectospot 1 litre and 2.5 litre pack sizes, to ensure correct administration.
For the Dectospot 250ml and 500ml pack sizes, a graduated chamber attached to the container is used to administer the product.
Always refer to product literature for correct administration instructions, before administering any medicinal or nutritional product. If in doubt, contact your animal health advisor or veterinarian.
Dose and Administration of Dectospot (10mg/ml deltamethrin)
Pour-on Use.
Dose:
Cattle: 100 mg of deltamethrin per animal, corresponding to 10 ml of the product.
Sheep: 50 mg of deltamethrin per animal, corresponding to 5 ml of product.
The product must be applied without dilution between the shoulder blades of the animal.
Use with applicator for 1 litre and 2.5 litre pack sizes
For the 250ml & 500ml pack sizes, a graduated chamber attached to the container is used to administer product.
For treatment and prevention of infestations by ticks, keds and lice on sheep, the fleece should be parted and the product applied to the skin of the animal. For maximum effectiveness it is advisable to:
- treat shortly after shearing (animals with short fleece),
- keep treated sheep separated from untreated sheep to avoid re-infestation
The duration of protection against flies is maintained for 4–6 weeks.
